Clarice's Website

My review of Clarice's website

Warm feedback

Clarice's use of pictures is very cool as it shows her passion for literary arts. I also like her use of colours, they are very  relaxing to look at. I also like how organised her website is, it's easy to navigate.

Cool feedback

I think that clarice should change her font as it is in al caps which is not very appealing. Her font is also very thin and hard to read. But apart from that, Clarice's website is very nice.

Deconstruction

The ad that i have chosen is a Target commercial that was based off Wicked: Part One the movie. Since Wicked just came out and its very popular, Target using the iconic riff from Defying Gravity and Cynthia Erivo who played Elpheba in the movie was a very smart move by them. The colors in the ad were mostly green and pink, the two colors of the main characters of the movie. This added on to the wicked theming. The ad first shows two young adults who love wicked products, then two children begging their mom to buy them a Wicked lego set. Then it shows a starbucks barista calling a customers name in the defying gravity riff and holding a green drink, signifying Elpheba. Lastly, a middle aged man is seen picking up a Wicked album. These shots show how many different people all love Wicked products, encouraging the watchers to go to Target and check out their products! The message that I picked up from this advertisment is that Target is appealing to anyone of any age and that it is trendy and has all the latest products. Since Wicked was the latest trend, this ad blew up all over social media. Everyone was quoting the dialogue in the ad. "Thats my line *defying gravity riff*" Since Target is an already popular and essential store, they boosted their sales even more because of this smart collaboration and marketing.

PSA Video Reflection

I was the scriptwriter, actress, co-director, and creator of the infographic. I came up with the idea of doing a sit-com-esque psa video. Name me one person who doesn’t enjoy sitcoms. I did this because it would be a PSA video that everyone wouldn’t find boring, and it would engage their interest. It would also help reach our target audience, teens, due to its suitability for all ages. As the director, I assisted the actors with their performance and helped them with their scene delivery. If they were too monotonous, soft, etcetera, I would remind them and give them examples on how they should do it. When creating the infographic, I wanted to use bright colors that would pop and catch people's attention. I made sure to include ways to take action for the viewers so that if they were struggling with gaming addiction, they would know how to take action. Throughout the process, we worked together and made sure we were all on the same page at all times. This allowed the process to be smooth sailing.
